calibration engineer, technical writer, radio show host, podcaster,

    America.

The modern farm is electrified in more ways than anyone could have imagined, which will only increase. In the past, we did not need to give any thought to the quality of the electric power coming into our homes and farm, but that has all changed. Identified as dirty electricity, it can destroy delicate on-farm electronics leaving you with the problem and replacement cost. Learn how to identify the power quality quickly and safely, not only from the grid but your backup generator too, and what to do about it.

Wireless communication and high-speed internet have done wonderful things for those in agriculture and rural America. This connectivity does come with a potential risk to you and your livestock. Animals that are not performing as they should and people with myriad symptoms that the medical community and veterinarians cannot identify a cause for are a sign. In this seminar, you will learn how to check for the three different types of pollution and what can be done to mitigate them while still enjoying the benefits of modern technology.

Agriculture runs on machinery, but its reliability and cost of operation are paramount to your profitability. During this talk, Ray Bohacz will cover three simple things that make a huge difference to your bottom line. They can easily be implemented whether you are a hands-on wrench turner or a manager. ROI is a big concern in any business; there are two types, and the agricultural community needs to recognize that. Profits evaporate invisibly before your eyes by not acknowledging the indirect ROI your machinery decision should be based on. This seminar will open your eyes and well establish that it is not the revenue your farm or ranch generates but what you keep that counts.

“Dear Ray: I farm in Md. (Delmarva). Thank you for your interesting articles about engines, cars, trucks, machinery, etc. My neighbor this summer started to have trouble with his combine where when the grain tank approached full a sensor would go off(think it was a temperature sensor related to a hydraulic system). Then when the grain tank was unloaded the sensor alarm would go off. Well he consulted Atlantic Tractor( Deere dealer) where the speculation went towards "Common Ground". So he calls me up this past week to say he caught the tail end of a Successful Farming episode where you talked about just that subject. P.S. That sensor is almost driving him crazy!”
